Somebody recently interviewed The Sheepster about his philosophy on life and taking risks.
I was able to simplify it into 2 phrases. Nothing original. I had heard somebody speak on this before. “What if?’ and “So what?’. Most people use “What if?’ as a negative thing. “What if I try/do this/that/whatever and it doesn’t work?” My response to that is “So what?”. Try/do something else. Chances are pretty good you’ll be no worse off than you were before. You might actually learn something and feel good about yourself for taking a chance. What if it DOES work?? How’s that for a better outlook? “What if?” and “So what?”.
If you go through life acting like prey, you’re going to get eaten.
